GURPS Low-Tech is finally here!
http://www.rpgcentar.com/cms/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/gurps_low_tech_250.jpg” alt=”GURPS Low-Tech” width=”250″ height=”336″ />As I wrote at http://www.fantasy-hr.com/igre/gurps-low-tech-pdf-u-prodaji“>F-HR today, after several years of anxious anticipation, the long-awaited http://www.sjgames.com/gurps/books/low-tech/“>GURPS Low-Tech finally came out of production! It’s available as a PDF from http://e23.sjgames.com/item.html?id=SJG31-0108“>E23 right now, and should hit the stores as a dead-tree product in December. I can’t wait to get my fingers on it, but it will have to wait until after Essen.
And if you’re wondering what’s it all about – it’s a really comprehensive GURPS supplement on any conceivable technology from the stone age till the age of sail. It’s also good for any other RPG, since the wealth of information it provides is all about when was a certain tech available, what techs were necessary for it to be discovered, and how it worked (and still does, in some cases) – all based on the latest historical and archaeological findings. GURPS stats are only the cherry on top. So it’s really a great handbook for any game that deals with, well, low-tech, from historically accurate ones to fantasy and post-apocalypse.
P.S. the word “tech” is used in the above post in any conceivable manner from specfic items and mechanisms to procedures of how things were done and the world was understood. Stuff like weapons and other equipment is in there just as descriptions of how merchants secured their wares, for example.
